The customs seized counterfeit SKF bearings with a market value of over RMB 2 million
As we all know, fakes often plague luxury goods and consumables. But did you know that all over the world, the manufacture and sale of counterfeit products also endanger industrial products, including bearings?

Recently, SKF participated in a campaign to combat the export of counterfeit bearings at China Customs. A large number of counterfeit SKF bearings were confiscated at the customs, with a market value of more than RMB 2 million.
The action was jointly participated by SKF and the State General Administration of Customs. The customs department will issue administrative penalties to related companies. Due to the huge amount of money involved, it is rising to a criminal case. Those involved in counterfeiting will be severely punished by law.
Among the fakes seized, there were counterfeit deep groove ball bearings, tapered roller bearings, cylindrical roller bearings, etc.
After these counterfeit bearings are installed on the machine, they cannot meet the performance requirements of the machine at all. They can easily cause large-scale damage to the surrounding machines, cause unplanned shutdowns, and cause financial losses to end-users.
The SKF brand protection team has been continuously cracking down on counterfeit SKF brand bearings in the Chinese market in recent years and has achieved remarkable results. With the continuous standardization of the domestic market, the focus of anti-counterfeiting has shifted from the domestic market to the export and domestic markets.
SKF actively supports law enforcement agencies in cracking down on the sales and export of counterfeit SKF bearings. This is very important to SKF customers, and only in this way can we better protect customers, their businesses, and SKF's brand reputation.
The suspected company being investigated
I bought all kinds of bearings in the online store, and then publicly marked them with the "SKF" brand name, and then sold them through other channels. A few days ago, the Songjiang District Market Supervision Bureau conducted an investigation in accordance with the law on a hardware electromechanical Equipment Co., Ltd. located on Songhuizhong Road that was suspected of selling counterfeit registered trademark products. Following related reports, law enforcement officers converged with SKF (China) Co., Ltd., the owner of the registered trademark of "SKF" ball bearings, and launched a surprise inspection on this hardware and electrical equipment company. Law enforcement officers seized 952 sets of ball bearings of 79 different specifications including model 6001-2Z/C3 on the spot, and these products were marked with the trademark "SKF". On-site identification by the trademark owner, these products are all counterfeit products. As a result, the above-mentioned products were immediately seized in accordance with the law. According to preliminary investigations, the above-mentioned products were purchased through online channels by the parties concerned, and they were unable to provide relevant vouchers such as delivery lists or sales invoices. The case is currently under further investigation.
