Preparation of nano-sized nickel oxide powder
A certain concentration of nickel sulfate and ammonium bicarbonate solution was prepared, and an appropriate amount of surfactant tween-80 was added to the nickel sulfate solution, and the mixture was uniform. At 40°C, nickel sulfate solution was dropped into ammonium bicarbonate solution and stirred for 30 min. Control the temperature at 90 C, add 50 mL distilled water to the mixed solution, pH value at 9.0, continue to stir for 60min, obtain grass green nickel oxide precursor. The precursor was placed in a drying box at about 120 °C, fully dried, and then ground and sieved to obtain the nickel oxide precursor powder. Then the powder is grouped into a crucible, placed in muffle furnace calcining, natural cooling to obtain nickel oxide powder.
Characterization of nickel oxide and its precursors
Settlement volume measurement: accurately weigh 0.2g precursor and put it into 10 mL plug measuring cylinder. Add liquid paraffin to scale and shake well. Then it was treated with ultrasonic cleaner for 15 min and then oscillated until it was completely suspended, repeated for 5 times, and the volume of sedimentation was recorded within a certain time.
The results were expressed by the volume of sedimentation per unit (mL/g), and the optimal dispersant dosage was determined by the minimum sedimentation volume.
X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used to analyze the sample structure and determine the grain size. The morphology of samples was analyzed by scanning electron microscope (SEM).
